Senior Product Manager

Joel Lipsitch is a Senior Product Manager at Bayer CropScience.  In this role he is the responsible for the ten-year strategy for the company’s horticulture fungicide portfolio in the United States.  He works closely with colleagues in Research and Development, Regulatory Affairs, Human Health, Environmental Safety, Product Supply, and Sales to bring to market and steward safe and effective fungicides to assist growers in feeding the growing world.  These products include both traditional, synthetic chemistries and biological pesticides. 

Joel has spent more than a decade working in various aspects of agriculture including water policy, irrigation, mechanization, and crop protection.  He has worked in the United States and in markets around the globe including South America, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.  He holds an MEM and an MBA from Duke University and a BS from Williams College.

In addition to his role at Bayer CropScience, Joel serves on the boards of several non-profits including iDE (formerly International Development Enterprises), Duke School, and Flying Carpet Theatre Company.
