I’m the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Numida (http://numida.co), a Uganda-based fintech social enterprise that is building the missing digital products that African small businesses need to thrive. Our first product is a free financial management app for Ugandan small businesses. Entrepreneurs use the app to keep track of their financial records and we use the cash flow and behavioral data collected in the app to issue appropriately sized, unsecured loans within 24 hrs via mobile money. Since May 2017 we’ve supported over 300 small businesses with over 870 loans valued at over $115,000. Before this I was an Acumen Global Fellow and interim COO at SiembraViva, a foodtech social enterprise in Medellin, Colombia. And prior to this I was a co-founder of Kulemela Investments, an agribusiness lender in Ghana. I started this journey with EWB where I grew through the organization from a chapter member, to junior fellow, chapter president, long term fellow, staff member and eventually venture leader.
