Sarah is a graduate student in the department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering at UNC studying environmental, occupational, and community exposure to antibiotic-resistant bacteria associated with industrial food animal production in North Carolina. In addition to her graduate research, she serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Rural Empowerment Association for Community Help (Warsaw, NC). Sarah has a strong interest in community engagement that improves environmental and public health, especially as it relates to food systems.
